Six Toys

Take a peak at some of Dash and Liam's fondest toys.

1) The Walker/Rider

This image just makes me giggle. They like to sit here and open up the compartment or rock back and forth holding the handle. It also converts to a little push cart but they can't quite keep up with it's pace yet. We anticipate mounds of fun in the future with that!

2) The Thermometer

Seriously, they sometimes swap out their real pacifiers when they find this puppy. Dash typically models it upside-down.

3) The Tractors (or anything wheeled, really)

They'd just sit there and spin, spin, spin those wheels. Except they don't because their brother comes over and yoinks it out of their hands to do his own spinning. So it goes more like: spin, "squawk!", reach, yoink back, spin... repeat.

4) The Pop-up Toy

This is a gem of a hand-me-down toy. It's the kind where you push a button or whatever and a character flips up that you then swat back down. The boys love it, they'll crawl across the room when they hear the thwack of a compartment opening. I love it because they can practice their fine motor skills, we talk about the animal characters and their sounds, point out colors, count... it's just full of learning!

5)The Triangle Spin... Thingy

This nifty thing was found at Costco, is in a triangular prism shape, and has various spinners on every surface. Theoretically, the boys can both play on it at the same time without interfering with each other. Realistically, they like to swing it around out of each other's reach.

6) The Road Rug

We found this fun, inexpensive rug at Ikea that has a roadmap upon which we can potentially "drive" cars. Liam and Dash aren't at that point yet but lots of little things on it catch their eye, like the helipad and the parking lot. They also enjoy flipping the edges over and crinkling the giant tag that sticks out.

These boys love their toys.
