Beach Morning
This is what a morning at the beach looks like for us.
We bravely forge out into the water.
Pause to find all the little fish.
We slowly get used to the not-so-warm water.
Then we lose our patients and just dive in.
After swimming for a while, we head back to shore.
During lunch break, I go admire the cattails. I used to pick these off the side of the road with my grandparents. Back at their house, we'd shave them and then I'd color them with marker. Kind of an odd concept but I thought it was fantastic.
Now it's time to warm ourselves. These kiddos have no body fat and get cold pretty quick. The warm sand feels especially nice.
We sunbathe on top of or underneath the towel, their choice.
Grey has fully embraced the lay-on-towel tradition.
This portion lasted for a long time on this particular morning.
(baby feet are cute)
All that laying around meant sand stuck to everything.
But who cares, it's warm!
Sand in the hair, that's the worst to get out.
So if we're going to get sand everywhere, let's really get sand everywhere. A beach trip is not complete until oneself has been buried. With that done, home we went!
