A Capitol Idea

After the Children's Museum, we headed over to the Texas State Capitol.

I had quite a headache at that point so Sean had me sit down on the Capitol grounds to rest while the Bradley boys wandered around a bit.

Ah, the joy of freedom

Found a squirrel! Truly, there were squirrels dotted all over the grounds, they must have it good there.

And sharing some secrets.

Oh yeah, we're at the capitol! It's quite a lovely building, very stately, as you would expect.

It's not a bold white, like I usually see of government buildings, but made of pink granite. I quite like it!

The dome of the lone star. (I totally made that up)

We got to see some neat rooms, like the state senate and house...room... (is that called something?)[Ah, "chambers," thanks Sean]. Sean particularly enjoyed that. The boys, though, were making it known by that point that their shorter car nap hadn't quite cut it.

Are you done with the Capitol, Liam? Yes, "all done." (What a good signer)

  1. I love that hands up, "what the heck?" signing/expression that so many little guys know without us teaching it to them... Jackson used to do it all the time. So adorable!
