Dash and Liam's Mario Party

Dash and Liam had a birthday party to celebrate turning eight! As usual, I barely took any photos despite having it on my shoulder the whole time. Luckily Sean took a few with his photo, so we'll put both here.

It's a Mario theme! This was before I put most of the food out.

Everyone got to have their own hats


We set up an obstacle course to rescue Peach. There were balloon chain chomps to punch, water to swim though while avoiding squids, tunnels to traverse, and piranha plants to leap.


They also got to stomp goombas, who would not stop drifting away with the wind.

The only photo of "pinata" we made. A ? block full of prizes!


Pinatas scare me but this one didn't involve any swinging bats, just verticle punches. Way better in my book. And very Mario-like. (despite the saggy-bottomed block!)


There were other games, like the Yoshi Egg race and Mario Kart time trials but those didn't get photographed. Before we knew it, kids were getting picked up so we did a quick birthday song and had cupcakes. The boys loved it and I hope the guests did, too! Happy birthday, kiddos!

Hi! I'm Liam! I just turned eight years old!


I'm a pretty awesome kid. I'm interested in anything worth being interested in. I love to try new games and master old ones. I love to play soccer in the backyard. I love to learn odd facts. I love to make people laugh. I love bike and scooter rides. I love my new origami book. I love video games. I love my family!

What a stud I am. I sure love learning and excelling. I like chasing after the soccer ball. I love to play things where there aren't necessarily winners and losers. I love to be goofy and come up with silly stories and circumstances. Bottle flipping is pretty great. I like to make sure people follow the rules. I love being with my family!

We both have decided to get baptized to become members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! It's happening on Saturday! Our family and we are so very proud and excited! It's going to be one special day!

Easter 2018

It was a wonderful Easter, as always. We dyed eggs with cool whip and food coloring again. Sean got pulled away taking some work calls as they worked on it, so I didn't document the process with the camera, as my hand were perma-coated while helping out. Easter itself was delightful, full of baskets, egg hunting, and reflecting on the blessing of Christ in our lives. A few shots of the hunt:
