The Chilly and Painful Pumpkin Patch
Back in October, we took a Saturday morning to visit the local pumpkin patch, which wasn't a pumpkin patch at all but a small field with pumpkins strewn about surrounded by fun "fall" activities. Fun, but there was definitely no pumpkins grown there.
Everyone's favorite was the bouncing mat. Of course.
They caught a lot of big air.
And a lot of wipeouts.
Guys, it was cold. So cold. The wind was biting and sun only teased us with its rays before tucking behind the clouds. I didn't have a thing except some extra socks that were used as mittens. Luckily, Mimi and Pompa came too and they had a few wintery things in their car.
Corn pit. I'll try not to think about what diseases were festering here.
Tunnel swing!
Potato sack slides!
Tire hideouts!
Water pump races!
Ah, the infamous haystack tower. I mentioned this in an earlier post but Grey fell from that thing. I didn't actually see it happen but another mom filled me in- the next level down from the top was really narrow and he slipped, flipped through the air and landed on his head. He was so sad and hurt so much. Sean says it was a concussion. He took a couple naps that day. Since then he's been much more impulsive and really difficult at bedtime. I don't know what to do about it.
So we finished up with some pumpkins.
Poor Grey was not feeling well but still dutifully sat on the pumpkin for the photo. What a pumpkin patch visit!
