Sparklering
We didn't do a whole lot for the Fourth of July. We made hamburgers for dinner. We last minute decided to go to Minneapolis for fireworks. We thought we ought to see the big city show at least once while we're living here.
We sat by a band and that kept the kids entertained while we awaited the fireworks. Then there was free balloon twisting and face paint! I also brought glow-in-the-dark/light up stuff that did the trick until the 10pm show. Unfortunately, not knowing where the fireworks would be set off, we had a nice tree blocking much of our view. But the kids didn't care, so it was fine.
We ended up doing our sparklers the next day, since I wasn't sure if we could do them where we were waiting for fireworks. Liam and Dash thought it was super cool. Grey pretty much only did it because his brothers were.
You heard Sean say to not touch the black part, right? Well, Liam ignored his instruction and touched it and got a sad little blister on his finger. Poor guy.
And because it's cute: little boy firework sounds.
