Time for the annual blog of all the instagram posts! Enjoy reliving the year.
The other kids having fun when Liam was a little Sickie.
Heartbreakers
A perfect fit!
These two are somethin else
Our effort at a snowman... not the best packing snow.
“I want dem ALL!”
(3 photos) Hawk hall rush 2018 - run, boys, run!
We added a little chemistry to our day
Grey lost his first tooth! At school! And then lost his second a few hours later! Tooth fairy jackpot!
First haircut!
3/4 crying on my lap. Positive spin: the fourth is only the cause of one of them!
We love valentines!
I was at the courthouse Thursday, Friday, and Monday for jury selection. While it would have been quite an experience, I’m very glad I wasn’t picked for the jury of a two month long trial. Phew!
I love it when it’s my month for kid dates!
She makes vision correction look good.
The cutest fake sleeper
Hi, friend!
(2 photos) Despite our traps, no leprechauns were caught. Some chocolate coins were left behind, though!
A little easter egg hunting on ol’ St. Patrick’s Day.
Grey's dance recital! He's on the far left. I wasn't holding out much hope for Grey doing much participating and he blew me away!
Liam's latest award.
A day for some waterfalls
Eggy
Pro tip: if you wait until your kids are almost eight to take off their training wheels, they’ll be instantaneously amazing when you do.
I think some twin mind reading was happening here
About to do some Hide & Seek
Look what the kids figured out...
No school means a watercolor morning. I think the boys call this Bottle Flip Island.
The reason Sean had kids was to create little Risk players. Because goodness knows I wasn’t going to play with him.
heart heart heart
Dash's latest award
Loved the second grade program!
(4 photos) Bear creek nature center with cousins!
A worthwhile pause in our bike ride
“Honk! Honk! Honk!” A Rock House ice cream tradition
11th anniversary hot date!
(4 photos) Grey dolled me up! He also designed a beautiful plate and took a servey about me. Happy early Mother's Day!
My EIGHT year olds! Happy birthday, buddies!
It was a pretty dang great day (Apologies, grey is morally opposed to pajamas)
(4 videos) Field day!
(8 photos) Another school year, another round of waking wren from sleep.
Singin while swingin
What fun it is to be a canvas
Big brothers are the best teachers
(3 photos) Baptism day!
(1 photo, 9 videos) Our anniversary present! Sean's a lifelong Paul simon fan so we needed to go to his farewell tour. Man, he makes good music. At one point Sean said, "if he plays Me and Julio Down by the Schoolyard, my life will be complete," and not a minute later we heard the familiar guitar riff. I love the earnestness of Homeward Bound. What a great night!
(5 photos) The boys had a fun but not very sleep-heavy night in the tent which resulted in a severe case of the grumps. So severe that we didn't do most of our plans. But escaping into the mountains for an unexpectedly long hike proved a quite effective salve.
My goobers
Cub Scout hike!
When the five year old is not-so-secretly happy to be in the baby swing
Living that good life
Feeling that entrepreneurial spirit with cherries, blueberries, and origami fans (the things you sell when you don’t have lemonade or paper cups)
(5 photos) A splash pad plus a sand pit is a pretty decent poor man's beach, right?
Little man’s little man
Introducing Syl! Short for Sylphrena (five points if you know what that’s from)
(2 photos) She's learning some table manners
(4 photos, 1 video) A Fourth parade
Liam took Syl to visit her furry older sister
A sweet moment between brother/sister battles
(3 photos) A hike to close out the day
(2 photos) Grey and his pup
(3 videos) Hydrophilic
(6 photos, 1 video) El Paso County Fair while the twins were at scout day camp.
(5 photos, 1 video) Sky Sox game! It was a long one, with a final of 11-10. They went through so many pitchers but we won! Dash got a tossed ball that fell in his seat. Sean caught a home run on video. A very fun night!
(5 photos) An evening's shenanigans (I promise I do feed and clothe my children)

Absorbing that last bit of sun
Musical swings!
We had a great day
I approve of this activity

(2 photos) The sweetest goodbye hugger
(8 photos) Who knew Santa's workshop was full of so many rides?!
Just relaxing
When mom gets a hearty cold on a day off of school, your big adventure becomes a walk to the park.
(4 photos) Briarfest success!
(4 photos) The What If festival is SO COOL. I expected it to be full of vendors but instead it was full of art and science. They got to try out instruments, create sand formations that then reflected its elevation in colors, see amazing sidewalk art, learn about gravity, and tons more. Majorly impressed. And when Grey somehow walked right by me out of the bathroom, he reported himself lost and waited patiently for us to figure out that we needed to find him. Oy.
“Mommy, that tree keeps looking at me”
(2 photos) Soccer clinic with the Switchbacks ("real soccer players, mom!")
Happy birthday, my sweet, six year old Greybee!
My pot o gold
(7 photos, 1 video) Last week we celebrated Grey's birthday with a trip to Great Wolf Lodge. It was fun, tiring, and Wren was not always the biggest fan.
Waldo Waldo 5k!
(3 photos, 1 video) Air force game!
Had a delightful thanksgiving with grandparents and cousins!
(7 photos, 4 videos) A surprisingly cool science museum in Grand Junction. I guess science is awesome everywhere!

Whispering Christmas wishes
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord
The sign of a good hot tub soak.
