Courtyard Mayhem
We've just had two weeks full of family fun and now it's done. It's always so deflating when family time is done. At least I have pictures to relive the happiness!
Sean's parents were planning on visiting his brother, so we thought we ought to meet up half way-ish for a long weekend. How about Chicago? I like Chicago. And, in fact, we stayed a little north of the city and I visited Gurnee three times! It's nice to be home.
The hotel had a big courtyard so on a wonderfully warm day (like, 38 degrees!) we all went to play (minus a sleeping Sawyer and his mommy, Lindsay).
There was much running.
There was hide and seek.
Who can spot Avery? Bonus points if you can also find Kyle!
There was follow the leader.
There was slipping and sliding (I foresee a sore bottom in Liam's future).
There was Duck Duck Goose (Sean tried to initiate Minnesota's take on the game: Duck Duck Gray Duck. It didn't take).
Apparently in the preschooler version of the game, pretty much everyone gets up and runs when Goose is called. I think Avery new the rules better than my kids but when cousins get up to chase, how can you not go too?
There was resting.
There were signs to sit upon.
Cheese face!
Poser Grey.
Poser Dash.
Let's close out with Grumpy Grey.
Which turned into Grumpy Walking Grey. No hand holding for him. Don't let him fool you, he had a grand ol' time hittin' up the hotel courtyard, as did we all.
