Butterfly House

After missing the Butterfly Museum on Valentine's Day, we finally made it there last week. There's a lot more to the place than just seeing butterflies fly around.

Future scientist- I like the look of that! Dash and Liam liked exploring all the exhibits.

We saw some other bugs before we saw the feature insects.

How'd you like to find that tucked in the corner of your living room?

Ah, getting closer. Butterflies from the front.

Butterflies from the back..

Grey didn't much like the indoor, museum stuff. Too much bending over causing him to stare at the floor.

But we finally got into the Butterfly House. There were butterflies everywhere, it was so lovely!

Liam and Dash have been talking about the "buhfly haus" every day since but you wouldn't have expected them to while they were there. They were so impatient walking through the place. I'd have liked to take a seat and watch them flutter about but the boys just kept tugging me along. They liked it, yes, but not enough keep them from their busy pace.

This is my favorite shot of the day. I constantly forget that Sean doesn't really like butterflies. Who doesn't like butterflies?! My husband. He gets weirded out by their creepy bodies. So he took one for the team by going to the museum.

But Grey, oh boy, Grey liked it most of all. Immediately he was catching sight of a butterfly and following it along.

It makes sense, I suppose. They're colorful and move at just the right pace for him to follow. It was quite sweet to watch.

So if it wasn't his brother's favorite activity, at least he really enjoyed it.

Outside of the museum, I found Horton's pink fluffy flower. I kept listening for a Who but maybe it was too windy.

There was also a big globe that sits in a bowl of water and you can spin it all around.

Those boys, they're going to move the earth, they are.
