We finally got dumped upon on Monday. One of my favorite parts about going to the med center each day when I used to work there was to see how high the bayous were filled on rainy days. We have a little bayou in our neighborhood and it filled up fast! Not only that, but the road was flooded too! Luckily, our home went unscathed- just a puddly yard.
The water fowl were happy. You know who else was happy?
These boys. They got to go splish splashing!
Look at how Liam reacted when he first stepped into a puddle:
"Can I really?"
And this boy just trudged right on into the deep end.
"Can you believe they're letting us do this?"
Marching marching marching marching...
From one puddle to the next, they couldn't get enough of it.
Here they are trying to escape to the road but happily running back to their water haven. Is it just me who thinks that toddler running is completely hilarious?
"Oh this is so great! And cold!"
Liam Bradley- making waves.
The best part, there wasn't a single brother fight the entire time. Blessed.
The happiness cannot be contained!
Those were some sopping socks. I didn't want to get their lone pair of shoes wet but they needed some tootsie protection, so socks it was.
The water was wonderfully deep in some areas- can you guess where the boys gravitated?
The boys are currently perfecting their jumping- come next rain storm, there's going to be some mighty splashing in Texas.
The outdoors: the best toy of all.
The pictures look great! I love how you were able to group some of them together.
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are great! Luke loves puddles too! Oh how fun to be a toddler :)
ReplyDeleteWow...that's a lot of water in your bayou. The boys looked like they had a grand time.
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are precious! And the looks on their faces?! Priceless. Makes me want to go puddle jumping. xo
