Chopsticks

After a delicious sushi meal (brought to us by Groupon), we gave Liam and Dash a spare set of utensils.

Have At It

This is what happens when you give a baby free reign of the rice cereal bowl:

Food everywhere but in his mouth.

I think Liam thinks he's in trouble. (how wrong he is, the boys are too perfect to ever be in trouble! Except when they're playing with electrical outlets...)

Me: I admit it, you are better than I am.

Liam: Then why are you smiling?

Me: Because I know something you don't know.

Liam: And what is that?

Me: I... am not left-handed!

Liam: You are amazing.

Me: I ought to be, after 20 years.

Liam: Oh, there's something I ought to tell you.

Me: Tell me.

Liam: I'm not left-handed either.

Dash: Hear this now: I will always eat my cereal.

Sean: But how can you be sure?

Dash: This is good food, you think this happens every day?

Chilly

The heating and air condition distribution in our house leaves something to be desired. It powerfully shoots the heated/cooled air into the boys room and barely trickles into our room. That means, in the summer, the kids room is like an ice box and Sean and I are sweltering in our room. And now, the boys have a toasty sauna and we shiver under the covers.

Since I never want my babies to be too cold or too warm, we set the thermostat to make their room the most comfortable. That, of course, makes our room the most uncomfortable, but what can you do?

This fact usually frustrates me. But today, when the power was out for an hour and a half this morning on this, the coldest day of the season, I was sure glad their room was already velvety warm.

Plush

Big news: we finally bought a floor mat for the guest bathroom. No more draping towels on the ground! It's the plushest thing in our house. I'm not kidding. How sad. Lemme show you how Liam and Dash enjoy it.
